FG Fegan supply and install all types of internal and external industrial ladders, walkways, platforms and handrail systems. We are happy to take on supply only or installation only work.
For 40 to 50 years of maintenance free operation, galvanised ladders and handrails are commonly used, especially in harsh outdoor environments. Fibreglass and GRP ladders and handrails are used in corrosive environments: industries such as chemical and water works are generally given this specification, as is any structure exposed to urban and salt air corrosion. In extremely corrosive environments, such as water storage reservoirs, marine grade 316 stainless steel is recommended.
Inspection, repair & maintenance
Fixed access ladders, gantries and walkways need regular recorded testing and inspection to certify they meet current legislation and keep the people who use them safe.
Our engineers carry out inspections, checking for deficiencies, hazards and general risks that could jeopardise the safety of anyone using the access routes. FG Fegan operatives regularly carry out repairs to improve and secure the integrity of the structure, and provide a recoating service to prevent further corrosion.
